SKI lessons in Bad Hofgastein for children and teens
Winning over kids for winter sports
The best place to do is Schneesportschule Gastein. Patient, experienced and highly qualified ski instructors look after children and youth on their holidays. For us, children take centre stage. The conditions in the Ski Centre Angertal and especially at Gasti Schneepark provide us with plenty of options to playfully familiarise your children with snow sports. Be it in our ski kindergarten for the Minis, on our beginners and advanced courses for kids, or our adventure weeks for teens. In our Ski school Bad Hofgastein families can expect unforgettable winter sports holidays with lots of variety, fun and action. Your children are in good hands during ski lessons in Bad Hofgastein with the ski instructors and children’s experts while you complete a ski course or snowboard course, go on a wonderful ski tour or snowshoe hiking.
No matter the age, everyone wants to place high in the weekly finale of the course week. This takes place in form of a classic ski race or as a short obstacle course (particularly for the Minis) and will stir the competitive spirit in everyone. But ultimately, we too adhere to the motto: It's the taking part that counts!

Here the little ones are the greatest:
With the minis of the Skischool Bad Hofgastein in Angertal, your children age 3 and up will be looked after all day long with love and care. We explore the surroundings with our minis and discover something new in the white snow-covered landscape every day.
Getting familiar with the first skis, sliding, finding the balance and the first descents are here on the program of our ski courses for toddlers. In addition to the first attempts on the boards, depending on the stamina of the little skiers, breaks are taken with snowman building and snowball fights.

Kids 6 to 12 years
The skiing stars of tomorrow have lots of fun and thrills in the children's skiing school.
Children learn easily and fast and have lots of fun in groups. If you child is not yet certain whether it wants to attend a skiing course without mum and dad, our "trial" class is the way to go. Once the little ones have taken a fancy to it, they are sure to feel at ease in care of the ski instructors specially trained to look after children.
From their first attempts in skis and the commonly known plough, children will playfully learn everything from regular turns to carving. Besides to the joy of moving, the children's safety takes top priority. That's why it's important to us to teach our young skiers not only the FIS Piste Rules but also what to do in case of accidents. Proper map reading and keeping your bearings in wind and weather also need to be learnt.
With a whole week of skiing school we must not forget that children...
- Are no little adults
- Are ME-focused and skittish
- learn about 90 % from doing themselves and trying out
- have limited concentration and endurance
And that's why when teaching children, play and movement tasks are mainly used. Through variety and motivation, but also with discipline and consistency, children's urge to move and perform can be optimally converted into unwitting learning.
